I had no idea that the M16 was the military version of the AR-15! So that's what I qualified on in the Army in the 70's. I haven't touched a weapon since.
Yep. There's some fascinating history in the book -- I was particularly intrigued by the "outsider" Stoner trying to sell the Pentagon a weapon developed FAR outside the military-industrial complex. But the complete lack of balance when it comes to exploring why America has far too many mass shootings (no matter what weapons are used) is inexcusable.
If the book ended on page 148, I would have given it a very positive review!
