Still Rockin' -- No Longer Talkin'

An open letter to the KIVA community

It’s been my great honor to be on Albuquerque’s airwaves, every weekday, for the last 27 months.

But nothing lasts forever, and I am no longer associated with 1600 AM KIVA. Time marches on!

I’m quite proud of the work I did at the station. Met a lot of listeners and subscribers along the way, too -- I thank every one of you for your support, in whatever form it took.

The good news is, I’m not going anywhere. October 15, 1992 was my first paid day in the anti-collectivism “business.” (Couldn’t even legally drink.) And as my 30th anniversary approaches, I intend to commit at least another three decades to fighting for human decency, human freedom, and human progress. I’ve established No Dowd About It, a Substack account, and that makes me a multimedia machine. Last week I started writing my column again, and this week will see the return of “Dowd’s Daily Download,” the email service I began in March of 2019 for a small group of friends and coworkers. There will be more types of content to come. Watch this space!

Alex Berenson, Glenn Greenwald, and others have shown how powerful the Substack platform is. The technology is top-notch, and the people running things have not embraced the silencing/canceling of content creators who won’t knuckle under to the woke mob.

Okay, the bottom line: What’s all this cost? Not much -- seriously! All my work will be available for less than a quarter a day. (A bit more, if you sign on as a Founder. Gracias in advance.) Everything is free for now, but the paywall is going up toot sweet. So subscribe, okay?

I hope you’ll follow me on this journey, and join a community of ornery insubordinates who aren’t ready to give up on personal responsibility, limited government, and capitalism.
