Honoring FDR's Forgotten Victims
For Throwback Wednesday, another reason to despise America's Mussolini
I hate Franklin Delano Roosevelt so much that once, I spit on him — in a dream.
Seriously.
A few years ago, I dreamt I was hovering above the loathsome pol, as he sat in the Sunshine Special with its roof retracted, that stupid cigarette holder in his mouth, surrounding by adoring morons. As soon as I realized the company I was in, the spitting started. Fortunately, I quickly floated off and was distracted by something pleasant. I think it was a hot fudge sundae. Or a golden retriever. Or Sofía Vergara.
Anyway, over the weekend, author Bradford Pearson gave a talk about his book The Eagles of Heart Mountain: A True Story of Football, Incarceration, and Resistance in World War II America. At the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum.
Seriously.
Upon reading the news of this monstrosity, in lieu of going on a seven-state killing spree, I decided to read my 2015 review of The Train to Crystal City. Thought the subscribers might find it, and the book, a useful reminder of how evil the 32nd chief executive was. Enjoy!
