At every moment, we always have a choice, even if it feels as if we don’t. Sometimes that choice may simply be to think a more positive thought.

In 1922, Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon became the first people to enter the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun in over 3,000 years.
In 1936, Frank Sinatra was arrested on a breach-of-promise charge, meaning he didn’t fulfill the promise of marriage after he “had a sexual relationship with a woman of good repute.” The charges were dropped when it was revealed that the woman was already married.

The Links
Time to Unmask the Truth (Brownstone Institute)
“When you consider how dirty children’s hands get, and that even adults reuse the same masks left in their cars, the cleanliness of the mask and what we may be inhaling becomes immensely important, especially to those with weakened immune systems. Studies have shown mask contamination, including bacterial and fungal contamination in face masks during the COVID-19 era. Further, there is emerging evidence that mandatory masking can negatively influence the COVID-19 case fatality rate, possibly through deep reinhalation of virus-containing hypercondensed droplets caught in face masks.”
BMJ Article Calls for Governments to “Neutralise Misinformation” and Ban Dissent in Pandemics (The Daily Sceptic)
“It is deeply disturbing that there should be such a blatant push to silence legitimate scientific debate and to seek to exclude opposing voices from the U.K. COVID-19 Inquiry. We contend that the main aims and objectives of a public inquiry are to scrutinise and evaluate all the policies that the Government implemented and to carry out a retrospective full cost-benefit analysis and assessment of any resulting collateral damage. Now is the time to calmly and rationally assess all the arguments and evidence that campaigning groups have tried to present — much of it, due to extreme censorship, deliberately kept away from the public and political sphere for debate.”
True Colors: J6 Staff Lash Out at Liz Cheney for Allegedly Burying Parts of the Investigation (Jonathan Turley)
“Some of us have lamented that the J6 Committee could have been so much more than a one-sided, highly partisan investigation. House Democrats barred two Republican members originally selected by GOP leaders, who then boycotted the panel in response.”
Farmers can expect high interest rates and higher costs next year (The Center Square)
“For the first time in 20 years, fast-rising interest rates have doubled the cost of short term operating notes, an impact a lot of farmers have never seen before.”
MFE (Merit, Fairness, and Equality) Versus DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Should be NC (No Contest) (American Institute for Economic Research)
“What MFE would mean is that students would be admitted only because of their academic and personal achievements, not because of their ancestry or family connections. It would also mean that school personnel would be similarly chosen on merit, with no favoritism for applicants because of their race or other immutable characteristics, and no favoritism for those who espouse certain political beliefs.”
Export air passenger fares rose 14.6 percent for the year ended in October 2022 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor)
“Import air passenger fares advanced 13.4 percent over the past 12 months.”
Emboldened Biden, Dems push ban on so-called assault weapons (Associated Press)
“People are doing the right thing, why would we take away their weapons? It doesn’t make any sense.”
The ghoulish exploitation of the Club Q shooting (spiked)
“Our moral ire should be reserved first and foremost for the depraved Aldrich, who has ripped five people from their loved ones and left many more with life-changing injuries and the darkest of memories. But the political exploitation of this shooting is morally repugnant in its own way. On Twitter, activists are calling out prominent gender-critical feminists, demanding they recant and apologise. It seems that the culture war never stops for some people. If a shooting takes place and your first thought is, in essence, ‘great, now I can stick it to those TERFs’, your moral compass is severely screwed up.”
Disney’s Big Gay, Green ‘Strange World’ Crashes at Box Office (Breitbart)
“Gee, what a shock. You mean no one wants to waste their Thanksgiving weekend having their children prematurely sexualized by groomers with a side order of enviro-guilt?”
China To Double Coal-Fired Power Plant Capacity … Aims To Avoid European, US Blunders (NoTricksZone)
“By the end of 2023, China plans to build new coal-fired power plants with a capacity of at least 165 gigawatts — which is equivalent to more than double of Germany’s current total electric power demand.”
“multiple lines of evidence” (Tony Heller)
“Sea level has risen more than 120 meters, or 400 feet, over the last 20,000 years. Almost all of that rise occurred before 7,000 years ago, and sea level is rising much more slowly now.”
BBC Hurricane Complaint (NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT)
“As I have already pointed out, there have been 50 other years with as many or more hurricanes. The third most active claim refers to Tropical Storms, not Hurricanes, so this needs to be corrected. As I also pointed out, many more tropical storms are observed these days thanks to satellites. In the past they still occurred but were not spotted. The BBC itself has acknowledged this fact in an earlier article by the same reporter.”
Statement by DHS Secretary on the 20th Anniversary of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (U.S. Department of Homeland Security)
“Two decades later, we see more than ever the wisdom of, and need for, our Cabinet-level Department charged with the responsibility to secure the American people, our homeland, and our values.”
The tragedy of Crimea (Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft)
“Anatoly Karlin has conveniently compiled a list of 30 public opinion surveys taken between 1994 and 2016. Twenty-five show Russophile sentiment at over 70 percent, and five at 25–55 percent. One of Crimea’s foremost sociologists, Natalia Kiselyova, says that the percentage of Crimeans who ‘yearned for Russia’ between 1991 and 2014 was always greater than 50 percent, while the percentage that favored Crimean regionalism was never less than 55–60 percent.”
Perv Jeffrey Epstein’s unsellable New Mexico ranch gets $9.5M price slash (New York Post)
“It was a different story for his New York City townhouse, which previously sold for nearly $50 million in March 2021, and his Palm Beach mansion, which sold for $18 million and was later demolished in April of the same year.”
Your Turn
1. How well does the U.S. Department of Homeland Security “secure the American people, our homeland, and our values”?
2. Angel food cake, devil’s food cake, funnel cake, marble cake, pineapple cake, beer cake, carrot cake, fruitcake, spice cake, cheesecake, lemon cake, German chocolate cake, or ice cream cake?
3. Does it bother you that former Nazis were so instrumental in the early decades of America’s space program?
4. Rich Little, Fred Travalena, Dana Carvey, Frank Caliendo, Darrell Hammond, or Bill Hader?
5. Casablanca — worthy of its praise, or a bit overrated?
1. How well does the U.S. Department of Homeland Security “secure the American people, our homeland, and our values”?
They do very little to protect the American people when they let millions of illegals into our Country along with Fentanyl. We are also under attack of our 4th Amendment Rights from the Biden Administration after a late October Executive Order issued on a Friday night that gives more power to the DOJ to Spy and Investigate against American Citizens!!
2. Angel food cake, devil’s food cake, funnel cake, marble cake, pineapple cake, beer cake, carrot cake, fruitcake, spice cake, cheesecake, lemon cake, German chocolate cake, or ice cream cake?
Not a big fan of Fruitcakes eatable or otherwise!!
3. Does it bother you that former Nazis were so instrumental in the early decades of America’s space program?
Take it from where you can get it. Our ability to protect our Country and the REAL Americans is the most important result! Where the ideas came from aren't as important as the results that were accomplished!
4. Rich Little, Fred Travalena, Dana Carvey, Frank Caliendo, Darrell Hammond, or Bill Hader?
Dana Carvey was funny back in his day!!
5. Casablanca — worthy of its praise, or a bit overrated?
For it’s time it was very good and the public loved it. You had to have lived through WWII and lost a loved one due to the War or had someone in the War to really appreciate this movie.
1. They don't defend the homeland as evidenced by 3 million people illegally crossed the boarder. They certainly don't defend our values as they push crt and wokeness on the employees.
2. Devil's food cake and ice cream cake.
3. Not really.
4. Frank Caliendo. I believe he did impersonations of John Madden.
5. I have not seen that movie. I guess I will have to put on my watch list.
