William F. Buckley Jr. founded National Review in 1955, and back when D. Dowd Muska was growing up (i.e., the ‘70s and ‘80s), it was one of the few opinion-media outlets available for folks who weren’t on the liberal left. I started reading it in high school, and even got to attend a luncheon with “WFB” himself while in college. Conservatives and libertarians have launched countless publications, radio programs, television shows, and websites since then, but NR remains on my radar.
Well, the circle is now complete. I’m in the online version of the magazine today, writing about my recent research on utility-scale solar for the Southwest Public Policy Institute. Thought the NDAI community would appreciate a heads-up.
I realize that many of my readers aren’t residents of Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, or California, but if you’re fortunate enough to live in the Southwest, please consider kicking a couple of bucks SPPI’s way. We launched last year, have made a lot of waves in a short time, and have big plans for 2023. Thanks!
Congratulations on your article being in the National Review. I never read it, but would read Buckley's commentaries in the oped pages of the newspaper. Sure miss him!
